Making hollow forms has become very popular with many woodturners. ROBERT SORBY has therefore designed a number of special tools that make the turning of these shapes much easier. The curved hollowing chisels are used for workpieces where the diameter of the hole is (much) smaller than its internal diameter. Straight hollowing tools are used for the deeper parts of these workpieces. Both the straight and the curved hollowing tools are available in several dimensions.
The largest of the straight hollowing tools, the 8803H, also has an orientable head to make it easier to work in hard-to-reach places.
