Alignment with CM2 double conical spindle
The use of a double conical spindle also allows perfect alignment. Place the double conical spindle in the tailstock. Make sure that the headstock is loose enough so that it can rotate freely to the position in which it will be locked. Slide the tailstock with the double tapered spindle fully into the axis of rotation of the fixed headstock. Secure the headstock in this position.
