Robert Sorby - Round TC cutter for TurnMaster

This is a general purpose cutter for the rapid removal of material inside and outside bowls and hollow forms. It works equally efficiently on spindle work. Manufactured with the highest quality micro grade tungsten carbide, this cutter will provide incredible durability and endurance.

This cutter also delivers an extremely fine finish that requires little or no sanding.

Sharpening: Use a diamond file or diamond plate flat across the top face. To gain best results and increase the longevity of the cutter this simple procedure should be done little and often.

Use the TurnMaster cutter holder to reshape the profile on the Robert Sorby ProEdge using a diamond belt or on a grinding wheel using diamond or other high density abrasive material.

Cutters made from this material offer outstanding longevity thanks to its excellent wear resistance, meaning they require minimal maintenance and infrequent sharpening. In most cases, it’s more effective to replace tungsten carbide cutters rather than attempt to resharpen them.

It's important to note that tungsten carbide has a slightly larger grain structure than other materials, meaning it can't always achieve the finest edges.
